Christina, your story touched my heart. I've been through very similar experiences with my mum, dad and my favorite aunt.

It's absolutely heartbreaking I know and the grief is almost unbearable. At least my aunt was able to exit gracefully and with dignity using medical assistance in dying. I wish my parents could have benefited from this too. Both medical professionals, I know that they would have chosen this route If the law had allowed it.

I wish you strength and send lots of love as you accompany your grandmother through her last days. She is lucky to have such a loving and understanding carer by her side. 💕
