Debra, thanks for sharing what you've learned from this challenging relationship with your sister. I also have an older sister who is extremely concerned about her appearance and critical of me in many ways. We were close as children and teens but now our relationship is strained and distant. It makes me sad. Your story made me realize that maybe my expectations of her are too high. Like you said, you can't change people and you have to meet them where they're at.
