I agree John and I think we have a lot of control over how we'll feel when we wake up. I like to tie up loose ends, clean my office, have a warm shower and do gentle stretching before bed. If I do these things, I feel lighter and happier in the morning.
I also keep a notepad by my bed so if I wake up with a worry or something I need to remember, I can write it down and then let it go until morning.
I remember waking up on summer days as a child, stretching deliciously and feeling incredibly happy and excited about the day ahead. After reading your lovely article I will work on recapturing that feeling more often. 😊✨
