Maybe this is why children have such a hard time understanding why parents want them to do certain things or why they won't allow some activities. Parents have the advantage of being children as well as parents. It's impossible for children to see things from an adult perspective until they become adults themselves. It takes understanding, patience and lots of love to bridge the gap in understanding between child and parent.
