This is so true and the older you get the more you appreciate time, especially family time. I started my business while pregnant with my first child and 22 years later we’re still going strong. It’s not a high profit business but it pays the bills. The best thing about being self employed is the flexibility, setting your own schedule and free time when you need it.

When my children were little I was able to attend their school events, cheer for them on sports days and be a parent helper on school field trips. I wouldn’t give up these experiences for any amount of money. Being self-employed is tough sometimes but if you can do it and make a living, you won’t regret it. If you can find ways to make your hard-earned money work for you while you sleep, even better. I’m figuring out that part now.
