We had no problems with the language as Canada is a predominantly English speaking country. We had to get used to a few new words and ways of pronouncing things e.g saying "Tomaydo" instead of "Tomahto" and diaper instead of nappy. People are generally friendly here and the lifestyle is not too far removed from what we were used to, so I wouldn't say there was a culture shock. We found almost everything about Canada better than where we'd been living in England though and we've never had any regrets about our move.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read my story and ask questions. πŸ™‚
