What an interesting experience and great write up, John. My sisters and I were forced to go to church as children and had to be dragged along reluctantly, especially in the summer when our friends were out playing in the sunshine. My memories of church are that it was cold, uncomfortable and boring and being forced to go each week put me all off religion for life. Churches are all so different and it must have been interesting to see the range of buildings and services offered in your community.
